Biography

Shonna Crisden Robinson has a B.S. in Chemistry and Japanese and an M.S. in Secondary Education. She has taught Eighth Grade Physical Science, Seventh Grade Mathematics, College Chemistry for Nurses, Basic College Mathematics, and High School Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics and Biology.  Shonna has written, edited, and reviewed a variety of educational materials including chemistry and physics problem manuals, standardized test preparation materials, web-based mathematics lessons and instructor’s guides, and Physical Science Teacher’s Editions.

Become a CK-12 Foundation Champion!

CK-12 Foundation is looking for passionate educators and life-long learners to champion our FREE, open-source, high quality, customizable content! As a champion, you will:

  • Spread the word about high quality content from CK-12
  • Help build an open-source movement where teachers are empowered to customize content for their classrooms
  • Be an integral part of the CK-12 community

How It Works

To become a champion, please submit this online application. This application will help us better understand how you would like to support the CK-12 community. In order to participate in the Champion program, you must commit to at least two Champion Activities. We strongly encourage participants to commit to more Activities. We believe that the more you engage with the CK-12 community, the more rewarding your experience as a Champion is bound to be. The Activities include:

  • Demo at a local school
  • Present about CK-12 at a conference
  • Write blog submissions and contribute to active blog conversations (minimum of 2 posts)
  • Connect with potential users (by email or phone)
  • Write a case study on how your organization uses CK-12 materials
  • Donate content (TE materials, lesson plans, books, chapters, multimedia, quizzes, etc.)
  • Provide feedback to CK-12 (through surveys, phone, interviews, content corrections)
  • Other (must specify engagement)

By signing up for the Champions program, you commit to spreading the word about CK-12 Foundation until the end of the 2012-2013 school year. We hope you will consider becoming a lifelong CK-12 Champion and stay involved with our community for years to come!


Timeline of the Champions Program

Late January - Applications open
March 1st, 2012 - Deadline to submit application
Early March - Official letters of acceptance to the program sent out
Mid-March - Commitment pledges signed and returned to CK-12 Foundation
Late March - Committed Champions receive T-shirts
April 2012 to June 2013 - Champion activities ensue
