“Cannot save because a newer version exists” error message

If more than one person is working on the same book or concept, every time you save your changes you create a new version of that resource. As that resource is being updated simultaneously by the other editors, other versions are in turn becoming outdated.

The best way to avoid these conflicts is to either author the book, chapters and/or concepts independently and then add them to a book once it is ready, or use Google docs or Microsoft word to author chapters/concepts and then import the files into a single flexbook. You can also import a Google collection to create a flexbook.
