### Function Tables

A **function** is a relation such that each member of the domain is paired with one and only one member of the range. A set of ordered pairs ( ) is a **relation**. The **domain** is the set of values made up of the -coordinates of the ordered pairs while the **range** is the set of values made up of the -values of the ordered pairs. A **function table** is an output/input table where the **input value** is a member of the domain and the output value is a member of the range. The **output value** is the result of an operation or operations performed on the input value and its value depends upon the input number.
