Discrete numbers or data are those for which there are only certain values or points. For example, many things can only be measured by integers, such as the number of people. In other words, the number of people is discrete.
measurement error

measurement error

The amount you are off by reading a ruler or graph is called measurement error.
outlier

outlier

An outlier is a data point that does not fit with the general pattern of the data. It tends to be outside the majority of the scatter plot.
