Students will use the iterative engineering design process to solve a problem.
Students will apply Newton’s laws of motion to the flight of a model rocket.
Students will use and/or create a computer simulation that describes the motion of a model rocket; the simulation will use a spreadsheet and numerical techniques to show solutions for a second-order differential equation.
Students will use algebra and trigonometry to solve a problem.
Students will evaluate the errors associated with the use of simulations to solve complex problems.
