Most crops can only be grown in certain climate zones. Climate change may alter the map of where wine grapes are grown.

  • Major wine regions are in these climate zones: Mediterranean, maritime and continental between the 30th and 50th parallel (latitude lines).
  • Different wine grapes can be grown in different climate zones so different regions are known for producing different types of wine.
