This chapter explains heat as a form of energy transfer. Materials do not contain heat. They contain internal energy that can be transferred (i.e. heat) from one body to another.
CK-12 readers should treat this FlexBook as a very early working draft. CK-12 is currently acquiring a preliminary review of the content and would like early feedback from its community of users.
