Find the side of an oblique triangle using the Law of Cosines
This lesson covers using the Law of Cosines to find the third side of a triangle.
You go to a concert at an amphitheater and are sitting in the front row, just 10 yards from the stage. Use the Law of Cosines to figure out how many other people have front row seats (each seat takes up a square yard).
Drag the red point to change the highlighted row, this will give you the current distance from the stage.
Shows an example of using the Law of Cosines to find the length of a triangle's missing side.
