Flexi Says: Animals with green-colored skin do not produce chlorophyll and do not have the cellular machinery to perform photosynthesis. A rare exception is the green sea slug which is an animal that can perform photosynthesis by producing its own chlorophyll. It does so by taking chloroplasts from algae and incorporating them into its digestive cells.
