Prokaryotic cells do not have a well-defined nucleus but DNA molecule is located in the cell, termed as nucleoid, whereas eukaryotic cells have a well-defined nucleus, where DNA is stored. Eukaryotic cells contain a variety of membrane-bound organelles, whereas the only organelles prokaryotes contain are ribosomes. Only eukaryotic cells can form multicellular organisms.
