Flexi Says: Cowpox is a viral disease in cows that mainly affects their udders. It is caused by cowpox virus that resembles the small pox virus. This virus is zoonotic i.e. it can be transferred from cows to humans. Edward Jenner had pioneered the use of cowpox virus to immunize people against small pox virus. This technique was later known as vaccination.
