Flexi Says: In Tabless batteries, multiple pairs of metallic components or tabs are welded onto the electrode that divides the electrode area into smaller regions which helps increase the average utilization of the active materials. In tabless batteries, the maximum distance electrons travel is the height of the electrode rather than its length. Since an electrode's height is much less than its length, the ohmic resistance that the electrons face and the heat generated will reduce significantly. The current distribution will be uniform, and unwanted chemical reactions can also be avoided, increasing the battery's lifetime.
