Flexi Says: A French astronomer Jules Janssen observed a bright yellow line with a wavelength of 587.49 nanometers in the spectrum of the chromosphere of the sun during a solar eclipse in Guntur, India. This was later confirmed to be helium by Luigi Palmieri and Sir William Ramsay.
