The region around the Pacific is called the Pacific Ring of Fire due to its earthquakes and volcanoes. This region has cracks of three tectonic plates of earth and is lined with belt of volcanoes. Strongest vibrations are caused in this region and it extends from Japan to Indonesia. This is the reason Japan experiences a lot of earthquakes and tsunamis.
