Flexi Says: Hydroelectric energy is the most efficient among renewable sources of energy, and is nearly twice as efficient as energy from fossil fuel burning. Hydropower plants at dams convert about 90% of the energy in falling water into electrical energy. By comparison, fossil fuel power plants lose more than half of the energy that was stored in the fuel as waste heat and gases.
