Flexi Says: There are only four basic types of weather fronts: cold, warm, stationary, and occluded. However, meteorologists further subdivide the major front types into smaller categories to describe more specific sub-types. For example, warm and cold fronts can be either fast moving or slow moving. Occluded fronts can be warm-type occluded or cold-type occluded. Another boundary type that isn't typically classified as a front is called a dry line. It marks the boundary between a humid air mass and a dry air mass.
