Flexi Says: A nebula is a cloud of gas and dust where stars and whole solar systems are born. Scientists do not know the exact number of nebulae in our galaxy or in the universe. Scientists estimate around 20,000 planetary nebulae exist just in our Milky Way galaxy. However, only around 1,800 have been directly observed so far.
