Flexi Says: Water at the bottom of the ocean is still part of the water cycle. The ocean is the largest reservoir of water on Earth. Water that is very deep in the ocean will take much longer to cycle into the atmosphere than water at the surface of the ocean. However, deep ocean currents eventually bring water from the depths up to the surface. This is called upwelling. The system of currents that moves water from the deep ocean to the surface is sometimes called the "global conveyor belt" because it moves water through deep and surface ocean layers around the planet. Once water is at the surface of the ocean, it can once again evaporate into the atmosphere.
