Flexi Says: The highest tides in the world can be found in Canada at the Bay of Fundy. The Bay's tides are normally around 16 meters (about 50 feet) in range. The Bay of Fundy holds the record for the highest tide ever recorded, at 21.6 meters (70.9 ft) in October 1869. This extreme tide occurred when a spring tide coincided with the Moon's closest orbital distance from Earth.
