Flexi Says: Alfred Wegener proposed the Continental drift hypothesis. According to his theory, 300 million years ago, the continents were all together as one supercontinent that he called Pangaea. The supercontinent later broke apart. Since then, the continents have been moving into their current positions. Scientists have hypothesized that after 250 million years, the continents of Earth will merge into one sizeable giant mass of land like Pangea.
