Flexi Says:
Most amphibians have tongues in their mouth cavities, similar to reptiles, mammals, and birds. However, the tongues of many frogs and salamanders are attached at the front of the mouth instead of the back. These species feed by quickly flipping the back end of the long tongue out of the mouth to catch small prey. The tongue produces a sticky substances that traps the prey so it can be returned with the tongue into the mouth.
