Using CK-12 with
Google Classroom
CK-12 works seamlessly with Google Classroom, whether you’re assigning from CK-12 or using Google Classroom add-ons. Teachers can use their classes already set up in Google Classroom and then make assignments directly to or within those classes. Scores, detailed reports, and Teacher Insights are all available from within Google Classroom when students submit their work.

Assign from CK-12
Use “Assign” options across ck12.org to send assignments to your Google Classroom, even as you browse the CK-12 platform. Students complete work and click “Turn In” and reports and CK-12 Insights are available from within your Classroom. It is recommended that you use this “Assign from CK-12” workflow OR the “Assign from Add-on” workflow, but not both, to help with consistency for students.

Step 1
Assign CK-12 Resources
No need to set up separate classes in CK-12. Teachers can log into ck12.org using the single-sign-on options, browse content, and click any “Assign” option. From there, they choose “Google Classroom” to have lessons and resources show up in their matching class(es).

Complete & Turn in Work
Students don’t need separate CK-12 accounts. They access each assignment directly in Google Classroom, complete their work, and click “Turn In” within CK-12 to submit their grade.
Step 3
Leverage Reports & Insights
When assigned to Google Classroom, scores are passed back to the gradebook. Full CK-12 class reports with detailed assignment information and intelligent Insights for 2.0 lessons are accessible straight from Google Classroom.

Teachers can browse ck12.org to explore resources, bookmark key modalities, and even customize content to meet their needs and interests.

If you have the Teaching & Learning Upgrade or are using Google Workspace for Education Plus, you can use the new beta add-on options to create CK-12 assignments directly from within your Google Classroom. Students complete work and click “Mark Complete” and reports and CK-12 Insights are available from within your Classroom. It is recommended that you use this “Assign from Add-on” workflow OR the “Assign from CK-12” workflow, but not both, to help with consistency for students.
